It's been a good week for The Witcher fans. At Gamescom Opening Night Live, we not only got our first proper look at the upcoming expansion, Songs of the Past, but were also told that The Witcher 3 is getting a full remaster - free to anyone who owns the game already.

This makes a whole lot of sense, since it's been over ten years since The Witcher 3 dropped. Many of us would be picking it up again for the first time in years to re-familiarise ourselves with the game ahead of the DLC, and it would have been fairly jarring to go from something made more than a decade ago, straight to an expansion launched all these years later.

Now, we have an even better look at Songs of the Past's gameplay, courtesy of a livestream from CD Projekt Red. Here, we meet a new character, a woman called Lilla. All we know right now is that she is Dandelion's cousin, and she has a rebellious streak. Naturally, the devs have already been asked if she will be a love interest - and they're not saying no.

This came up during Eurogamer 's preview of the game, in which there was an option to hug Lilla. One of the devs said they wouldn't, because they're Team Yen. They were then asked directly if this means Lilla is romanceable, to which Fool's Theory CEO Jakub Rokosz said, "We want players to experience this on their own.
