New Xbox Console Comes With 2026 Game Completely Free of Charge

The newest Xbox console comes with a special perk for fans willing to pay the high price tag, including a digital copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved as a pack-in with the Xbox Series X25. Xbox's highly anticipated remake of the original Halo game officially launched in late July.

2026 has been a big year for Xbox, both with changes at the top and a plethora of high-profile new releases. In February 2026, both Xbox CEO Phil Spencer and President Sarah Bond stepped down from their positions with the company, with Asha Sharma taking the reins as the company's new CEO. Microsoft's first-party franchises have been a major focus for the company throughout the year, including new releases like Forza Horizon 6 and Halo: Campaign Evolved, as well as the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day. Now, a brand-new console celebrating Microsoft's 25th anniversary is including one of Xbox's biggest releases of the year.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Xbox is partnering with several manufacturers to bring fans a collection of classic Xbox-themed accessories.

Fans picking up the translucent green Xbox Series X25 will get a special bonus from a classic Microsoft franchise. The anniversary edition of the Xbox Series X will include a digital code for the full game of Halo: Campaign Evolved with the console, giving out one of Microsoft's hottest releases for free. The console also comes packed with an exclusive controller designed after the original Xbox , both branded with Xbox's 25th anniversary logo. Microsoft's Xbox Series X25 is available to pre-order now, with fans being asked to shell out $900 for the anniversary console.
