WB Games has officially showcased LEGO Batman: Legacy of The Dark Knight's Mayhem Collection. The DLC is scheduled for release in September 2026, arriving alongside a new version of the new LEGO Batman game for a previously unsupported platform.
At the August 2025 edition of Gamescom, Warner Bros. announced the LEGO Batman game for all the current-gen consoles. However, the latest title from the award-winning studio Traveller's Tales ended up skipping the Switch 2 at launch, having initially only released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on May 22, 2026. A few days earlier, WB Games officially announced the Mayhem Collection, which only took a few more weeks to lock down a release date: September 18. The Legacy of The Dark Knight Switch 2 version launches on the same date, the publisher confirmed as part of the same announcement.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight's success proves Spider-Man is long overdue for his own dedicated adventure.
Ahead of that release, WB Games shared a new Mayhem Collection trailer on August 26. The promotional footage offers the most substantial look yet at the upcoming Legacy of The Dark Knight DLC. The Mayhem Collection continues the game’s broader approach of drawing from numerous eras of Batman history , leaning particularly heavily on imagery and ideas associated with Arkham. The DLC story mission sees Joker and Harley Quinn orchestrating a breakout from Arkham Asylum before taking their mayhem onto the streets of Gotham. Both characters have their own abilities and gadgets and should thus offer a different style of gameplay.
