New Job Listing Suggests Riot Is Working On Digital Riftbound Client

Eagle-eyed fans of the Riftbound trading card game have spotted a job listing from Riot Games on LinkedIn that looks like a major hint that a digital version of the game is either in development or will soon be heading that way.

While the original post, which made its way to Reddit, no longer seems to be live, the job listing is still up and shows that Riot is looking for someone with extensive industry experience who can shape a "digital product or platform during early development."

This suggests the project is still far from completion, or maybe not even in development yet at all, but given the number of other job listings that have gone up recently for an "unpublished R&D product" like this one, it's fair to assume this may be a Riftbound team being staffed up to either begin or ramp up development.

It's hard to discern from job postings which projects may be in development, especially when Riot is keeping the exact projects under wraps, which is their natural right, but it's promising for Riftbound fans to see that it is hiring people with TCG experience for an upcoming project.

With the recent reveal that Disney Lorcana is being adapted into a digital app , and the positive reaction to the announcement, it makes sense that Riot would be considering starting work on a project if it hadn't already begun. These exact timelines may be revealed one day, but for now, Riot is keeping many details about the projects it is working on quiet.
