New Dungeons & Dragons Sim on Steam Just Proved Cozy Games Don't Need Farming

I don't know how many times I can inherit another old farm before the cozy game genre finally runs out of them, but somehow, especially on Steam, we keep finding more. I say that as someone who genuinely enjoys farming games and completely understands why the formula works as well as it does. There's something undeniably satisfying about starting with a cluttered patch of land and turning it into a real home, especially for someone who actually grew up on a farm. However, the problem is that the idea of a cozy game has become so reliant on farming over the years that the two almost feel inseparable now, and Steam has no shortage of games that prove it, even though nothing about being cozy actually requires me to spend another morning watering crops and feeding my animals.
