GTA 6 Fans Have Already Spotted a Dexter Morgan Easter Egg

Many fans had high expectations for the first look at GTA 6's gameplay on Netflix, and it seems safe to say that Rockstar and Take-Two deliver, as fans are breaking down every single frame, moment, and so forth. Eagle-eyed fans have noticed many Easter eggs, including one mocking The Last of Us' seemingly endless remasters, and another for the Bay Harbor Butcher Dexter Morgan.

The latter is perhaps the most surprising, even though it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment. Because Vice City is based on Miami, Florida, many fans have long hoped to see at least one GTA 6 Easter Egg for the beloved serial killer TV series Dexter. There would be many ways to do it, and yet, it seems Rockstar took the most direct approach (at least for one Easter Egg).

The special GTA 6: An Extended Look showcase on Netflix revealed a lot of new info about the upcoming game, including its impressive Vice City map.

One brief moment in the GTA 6: Extended Look trailer, as seen above, shows an oceanside apartment complex that is identical to Dexter's. As many know, it's rather uniquely shaped, and so it is unlikely to be pure coincidence that it exists in Vice City. Of course, perhaps Rockstar goes further: perhaps players can hear reports about a serial killer similarly named or find bodies in the bay. It's exciting regardless, but unfortunately, fans are not going to be able to buy Dexter's apartment.
