Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look Runtime Revealed, Features Footage Captured on PS5

Netflix has revealed the runtime of today's Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look broadcast, and confirmed it will feature footage captured on PlayStation 5.

Today brings our first (official) look at Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay, in a lengthy deep dive into the game that has become overshadowed somewhat by the past week's string of unprecedented leaks.

Regardless, developer Rockstar is pushing on with its own reveal plans, including today's unique timed-exclusive for Netflix. Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look will run for 27 minutes, the streaming service has now confirmed, and debut PS5 gameplay.

"Captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5, this extended look at the next Grand Theft Auto showcases the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet," a Netflix blog post states.

The fact we're specifically going to see the PS5 version of GTA 6 is not a surprise. Sony and PlayStation have already demonstrated they have secured a strong marketing partnership with Rockstar for the game, via high-profile ads on the PS5 itself, and messages telling PS4 owners they'll need to upgrade their console to play the upcoming blockbuster. The two companies have also stated that GTA 5 will "run best" on PS5, presumably on the higher-powered PS5 Pro.

At the time of writing, just a few hours remain to the Extended Look's reveal later today on Netflix, and then its wider released elsewhere (such as YouTube) six hours later. IGN will have extensive coverage of everything revealed about GTA 6 today, and will be reporting live as the afternoon and evening unfold.
