New Official Witcher 3 Free Release Confirmed for September 29

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a remaster, as CD Projekt Red surprised attendees at Gamescom Opening Night Live with a trailer that confirmed it will arrive in late September as a free update. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will arrive over 11 years after the base version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt hit store shelves.

Nintendo reveals a new Switch 2 bundle, which will be available in stores shortly after the system's upcoming price increase.

CD Projekt Red confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will be available as a free update for The Witcher 3 on Tuesday, September 29. The upcoming remaster will include the base game, the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions, and a slew of graphical upgrades and features on multiple platforms. CD Projekt Red stated that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will also be available on Nintendo Switch 2 and on Blizzard's Battle.net storefront, so more players can experience one of the best open-world titles to date. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will include improved menu navigation and a revamp of the game's skill tree. Given that perks and mutagens will still need to be carefully considered, it is unclear how much will change with the remaster's skill tree.
