The publisher will lean into console and PC adaptations while its development arm continues as HandyGames

HandyGames has rebranded as THQ Nordic Mobile, with the publisher shifting its focus toward bringing premium PC and console titles to mobile platforms.

The German-based company – which has previously published mobile versions of Wreckfest, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, and Titan Quest – said the move consolidates its publishing operations under the wider THQ Nordic umbrella so it can expand into mobile adaptations from established franchise.

The company's internal development studio, also based in Giebelstadt, Germany, will continue operating under the HandyGames name, working on original titles and supporting THQ Nordic Mobile's technical porting work.
