Dragon Ball Officially Reveals Earth’s Strongest Human

Fans have been debating who the strongest human in Dragon Ball is for decades now. While the actual winner is contentious, most fans agree that the two most powerful Earthlings in the Dragon Ball franchise are Krillin and Tien Shinhan. In the Majin Buu Saga, Yamcha calls Krilin the strongest human, but Tien hadn't been seen in years at this point, and he was trying to keep Krillin's daughter, Marron, from getting upset.

Neither Krillin nor Tien are particularly impressive in either the Dragon Ball Super manga or anime, so it's hard to tell who's stronger – though in typical Dragon Ball fashion, Krillin remains more relevant. The Official Dragon Ball Site has seemingly ended the debate, however, by spotlighting Earth's strongest human at his strongest point in Dragon Ball Z. When it came time to save Ultimate Gohan's life from Buutenks, only one Earthling had the power to save him: Tien Shinhan.

While Frieza may be the strongest mortal alive, he's been beaten by powerful Dragon Ball characters before & is currently marked for death.

As the name suggests, the Weekly Character Showcase is a column on the Official Dragon Ball Site that runs once a week, shining a spotlight on a different character from the series. This week, Dragon Ball is focusing on Tien from the end of the Majin Buu Saga.
