Ryt Bank claims it has become Malaysia’s largest digital bank after reaching more than 1.5 million customers in its first year.
Its app became Malaysia’s most downloaded application across the Apple App Store and Google Play in February 2026.
Customers have used Ryt AI more than 10 million times for everyday banking since its launch.
Ryt AI runs on ILMU, a Malaysian sovereign large language model developed by YTL AI Labs.
It can process receipts, images and attachments, handle several requests within one conversation and help customers resolve payment issues.
It can also complete tasks across more parts of the Ryt Bank app than it could at launch.
Ryt Bank has introduced Ryt Groups for managing shared expenses such as meals, family holidays and household costs.
Customers can scan a receipt for Ryt AI to itemise purchases, apply sales and service tax and service charges where applicable, and calculate how much each person owes.
Group members can then settle their share through the Ryt Bank app.
Customers who settle a Ryt Groups expense during the launch period can receive a foodpanda voucher worth up to RM15.
During the anniversary campaign, customers can earn RM100 or a guaranteed RM5 for themselves and referred friends with each successful referral.
Ryt Bank is marking its anniversary during Merdeka month with new products and rewards each week throughout August.
These will include the return of its limited-edition Ryt Card and another feature described by the bank as one of its most requested.
“Our first year has completely exceeded our expectations and made us realise just how much more there is to do.
