ToneTag Brings Voice-Led Commerce to Tata’s Sierra.ev with DrivePay

ToneTag, a deep-tech platform pioneering proximity commerce, today announced the extension of DrivePay to the recently launched Sierra.ev. Natively integrated into the Sierra.ev’s infotainment system, DrivePay introduces voice-led commerce, enabling drivers to place orders from their favourite cafes and recharge FASTag accounts through voice commands, while also discovering payment-ready charging stations along their route, all without switching apps or interrupting their journey.

The most distinctive capability in this integration is the new voice-led commerce layer, added to DrivePay’s existing in-car payments ecosystem. Designed to make transactions seamless and hands-free, it lets drivers discover and act on relevant services in real time, whether ordering from nearby cafes or managing FASTag recharges, directly through the infotainment interface. Merchant ordering has also been enabled as part of this voice layer, with Blue Tokai Coffee as the first integration.

DrivePay’s EV charging feature follows the same contextual approach, displaying nearby charging stations in real time and surfacing payment-ready options filtered by charging capacity and journey relevance, reducing planning effort and shortening the decision loop for EV users.

Mr. Sven Patuschka, Chief Technology Officer, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said the Sierra.ev launch marks a significant step in the company’s commitment to customer-first mobility, with DrivePay simplifying charging and related payments directly from the vehicle, reinforcing the focus on meaningful connected-car experiences.

Mr. ev taking a significant step towards redefining in-car commerce.
