Xbox Gear Resurrected And Filled With 25th Anniversary Merch

Xbox Gear, an online store through which fans of the platform could buy branded merchandise, quietly closed last summer amid ongoing uncertainty at Xbox. A little over a year later, not only is it back, but it’s filled with new merch that’s been designed to celebrate Xbox’s 25th anniversary.

Xbox proudly announced that Xbox Gear is back on social media, flaunting some of the new items people can now buy through its revived online store. There are 12 new items in the Xbox Gear resurrection collection, including hoodies, t-shirts, caps, and a rather fetching bucket hat sporting the original shocking green Xbox sphere.

A significant chunk of the new merch on Xbox Gear is pretty plain, but not necessarily in a bad way. The Gloss hoodie, t-shirt, sweater, and cap are all black with just the latest glossy version of the Xbox logo right in the middle of the chest, or the middle of your forehead on the cap.

The EST. 01 items in the store, of which there are also four, have even subtler designs. They simply have “EST .01” printed on them, an homage to the year during which the original Xbox console was released. There doesn’t even appear to be any mention of Xbox incorporated into their design, although I imagine there’s a tiny tab on them somewhere sporting the Xbox logo.

If you want to wear your Xbox fandom with a little more pride, and really celebrate 25 years of the platform, then you’ll want the more detailed items in the collection.
