Given the number of upgrades, the Sonos Arc Ultra should be considered more as a new class of flagship soundbar than a mere update of the original Arc. At first glance, both look similar, with the same 46" long profile, but the internals are totally different. Whereas the Arc featured a 5.0.2ch setup with eleven speakers and no sub, the Arc Ultra boasts an expanded 9.4.1ch setup with fourteen speakers including a four-motor, dual-membrane Sound Motion woofer for better bass response and low end.
