Roco Kingdom Goes Global

Since its launch in China in March 2026, Roco Kingdom has made a huge mark on the country's app charts. The game went straight to the top among new mobile titles, both in terms of average daily active users and revenue. Revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, Morefun Studios will be bringing this hugely popular Chinese franchise to the rest of the world with their first global closed beta test on 27th October.

If you've never heard of Roco Kingdom, that's because the franchise has spent most of its 16-year life in China, where it's seen huge success. What started as a browser game in 2010 has since spawned four feature films, a long-running animated series, and over 100 published books. The game itself has had more than 350 million registered players across its history.

Roco Kingdom is a multiplayer open-world creature-collecting game where players take on the role of a Roco, setting out to explore the sprawling continent of Carosia to befriend its native creatures, called Jinies. There are over 400+ of them at launch, and no two are quite the same: every Jini has its own unique height, weight, and habits, interacting with the world around them in ways that make the environment feel variable and dynamic.

Developed by Morefun Studios, known for extraction shooter Arena Breakout: Infinite, the latest game has been in development for the last six years. The world itself is built around natural habitats, with distinct landscapes and climates shaping where different Jini species live and behave with the outcome being a living ecosystem rather than a static backdrop.
