Metal Gear Solid Partners up With the Only Thing Stealthier Than Snake

The Metal Gear series is one of the most famous franchises in the video game industry, but few fans could expect its next collaboration. Konami is making an appearance at an unexpected convention this October, CatCon, alongside One Eared Uno, the internet's favorite feline.

As part of a creative marketing strategy, Konami is coming to CatCon with exclusive Metal Gear-inspired pet products on Oct. 10 and 11. During the event, fans will have the chance to purchase products in Metal Gear's unique cat line. The series' iconic stealth box materialized as cat scratch boxes, which will turn fans' cats into real masters of infiltration. To promote Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, which comes out Aug. 27, plush pet toys and cat collars inspired by Peace Walker and Guns of the Patriots will be available.

Cat lovers who just so happen to be Metal Gear fans may want to check out these products, as they might become extremely hard to find in the future. The cat products will only be available at CatCon and OKS Gear Shop during the days that the convention takes place. The limited availability makes these products great targets for scalpers. Therefore, if fans end up wanting to get their hands on the items in the future, they might have to spend a lot more money compared to their original market price.

As a treat, players who stop by the Konami booth will also get to meet viral cat influencer One Eared Uno, who has racked up a total of 3 million TikTok followers, over 200,000 followers on Facebook and Instagram, and 350,000 subscribers on YouTube.
