Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta Pushes Unplanned Update to Address Fan Feedback

Infinity Ward has pushed an unplanned update for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta in order to quickly address fan feedback.

Although the first beta weekend for Modern Warfare 4 is coming to a close, Infinity Ward has pushed an unplanned update that will fix spawns. This isn't the final update for spawns as part of this beta, but is an "early piece" of a larger improvement, so fans aren't being tortured during the final moments of this beta. The fix is live in all modes besides Hardpoint, but a fix will arrive for Hardpoint as well during the beta's second weekend.

We were supposed to be done with updates today…

Supposed to be.

We pushed out an early piece of the larger spawn improvements we’re working on.

It’s live now across all modes except Hardpoint.

Hardpoint changes will come in Weekend 2.

Go run some matches. 🫡

This is likely just one of many fixes coming ahead of weekend two. Players have been vocal about spawn issues, the time to kill being too rapid, and more. Infinity Ward is already being more responsive and receptive to beta feedback than its previous Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 2 (2022). That game caught a lot of flack for ignoring fans when it came to things that really rubbed them the wrong way. Although it was a massive commercial success, it remains one of the more divisive Call of Duty games in recent memory due to fans disagreeing over the direction in which it tried to steer the franchise.
