Google Cloud is taking Gemini deeper into banking with AI agents built for financial workflows.
Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services is available in preview for capital markets and corporate banking.
CME Group and Deutsche Bank are among the institutions using the platform.
The platform combines a Google-managed Financial Research agent with more than 50 specialised skills and 13 data connectors.
It can produce reports using market data, news feeds, regulatory filings and internal databases, with citations, confidence scores and data snapshots for auditing.
“Financial professionals are looking for an AI platform that doesn’t lock them into any one model or ecosystem, connects to the IT systems they use every day, and is highly secure and compliant.
With Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, we are delivering exactly that—agentic capabilities for financial workflows, built with verifiable data explainability, so institutions can turn AI innovation into a confident competitive advantage.”
Customers can connect the platform to sources including FactSet, LSEG, Moody’s, MSCI, PitchBook, S&P Global and SEC EDGAR.
It also provides access to third-party agents for business verification, lending analysis and document processing.
Financial institutions can use the tools for credit risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, Know Your Customer checks and market research.
Deutsche Bank helped design the Financial Research agent and plans to deploy it across its Corporate Bank division.
It will use the tool to identify customer needs, match clients with relevant products and track market developments.
The bank is also exploring its use for financial crime risk management, forecasting and scenario analysis across its Private Bank and Investment Bank divisions.
